Our track record speaks for itself

To this end, we have been involved in all parts of scheme development starting with feasibility studies, route optioneering through to environmental appraisal and sustainable design development and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)/Environmental Statements, and helped secure scheme approvals under a wide range of planning legislation including permitted development, Town and Country Planning consent, Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAO), Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and hybrid Bills. We also have important experience in delivering schemes and working closely with the client and contractors to deliver against relevant environmental requirements and obligations via environmental management plans, working closely with key stakeholders.

As part of the above, we have played a central role in consultation and engagement /negotiations with statutory bodies and other key stakeholders and made significant contributions to objection/petition management and providing expert witness testimony.

Whilst our specialists have a deep understanding of operational and construction impacts associated with rail and carry out relevant and proportionate detailed studies, our experience ensures we can bring tried and tested solutions and are well placed to identify novel and innovative solutions in some of the most challenging natural and urban environments. We are constantly vigilant in managing risks proactively to facilitate timely delivery.

The successful delivery of many extremely complex projects are underpinned by our project management expertise as well as our experience of working in multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative and integrated way, our commitment to health and safety, and our desire to drive innovation and improvement both in our own company and with others with whom we collaborate. Our teams include industry-recognised experts with an enviable reputation for excellence and a track record for effective delivery.

We remain at the forefront of rail policy and development having provided strategic environmental and sustainability consultancy support to Government Departments including DfT and Defra, the Rail Safety and Standards Board, Transport for the North, and the Rail Delivery Group. This has been across a wide range of topics and subjects from embedding sustainability strategically within the industry through to the implementation of enhanced data connectivity on the network.
