PROJECT OUTLINE

Temple supported Transport for London (TfL) in the Cooling the Tube Programme by providing specialist environmental monitoring on the Victoria Line mid- tunnel ventilation upgrade programme, used by 200 million passengers per annum. The works included upgrading fans to facilitate an improved airflow rate providing a cooler travel experience. Temple set up a comprehensive environmental monitoring regime to address round the clock real-time noise and vibration, air quality and strain movement issues.

Aimed to set out to address the problem of excessive heat in the London Underground environment and to design and construct cooling systems to alleviate the condition
