Temple’s People – Elena Recio Palanca, Consultant – Air Quality team

Elena joined our Air Quality team in June this year and is now another highly valued member of the Temple team. We had a quick chat with her about her interest in the environment and what drew her to interests to working in this industry:

What first drew you to a career in the environmental sector?

I have always been interested in science and the environment in particular. I graduated in Environmental Science and very quickly I realised that I enjoyed it, and I wanted to seek employment in the field. It is a very broad and multidisciplinary area with loads of opportunities and I enjoy the analytical aspect of it.

What types of projects have you worked on since joining Temple?

I joined the Air Quality team back in June, and since then I have been involved in air quality assessments for residential and commercial developments, monitoring projects across London, and the opportunity to assist and learn on high profile schemes such as High Speed 2.

What was the draw for you to want to work at Temple?

I wanted to have the opportunity to work for a small-medium size consultancy which is giving me the chance of getting involved in almost every aspect of project delivery and improve my skills. I also like the interaction with other teams and the work atmosphere.

Many thanks to Elena for meeting with us. If you’d like to join the Temple team, visit our Careers page to view our current range of roles available. To see more about Temple’s people, visit our Key people page.
