Temple’s Katie Anderton shortlisted as ‘Young Rail Professional’ nomination
One of Temple’s Senior Consultants, Katie Anderton, has been shortlisted for the Young Rail Professional category (female) in this year’s UK Rail Industry Awards. She is one of only three women to be nominated for this prestigious prize. Katie was nominated for the award as she was considered by colleagues to be a young person who has made ‘a real difference’ to the company.
For the past year, Katie has been working as Environmental Advisor on the London Overground Capacity Improvement Programme. The focus of Katie’s role on this project has been identifying key environmental risks and potential sustainability opportunities. Katie has also been responsible for undertaking environmental appraisals, developing environmental risk registers and implementing action plans. Katie has been able to influence the sustainability of the designs and construction methodologies across the programme as well as ensuring Contractor’s fulfil their environmental requirements.
John Ryan, Senior Project Manager for LOCIP, said of Katie;
‘Katie… has played a lead role in achieving the highest level of submissions being accepted first time across all the contractors on the project. Katie’s approach to communication and team work has ensured that she plays a vital part within the delivery team’.
The awards take place on Thursday 20th February. To find out more about the Awards view the website here; http://www.railtechnologymagazine.com/ukria
