Temple and The Ecology Consultancy’s first Annual Reception
On 1st November 2018 Temple and The Ecology Consultancy held their first joint annual reception for valued guests at the IET: London, Savoy place.
The evening was a roaring success with over 130 guests in attendance from more that 80 organisations that have worked with us over the years. For those who have previously attended Temple’s receptions, the familiar sounds of jazz filled the room as guests were welcomed by junior colleagues from Temple and the Ecology Consultancy and were given the chance to admire the view of the Thames from the room’s two terraces and caught up with old acquaintances and colleagues.
During the event, Temple Group Management’s Founder and Chair Mark Southwood took a few moments to thank everyone for attending and gave an update on the Group’s activity over the last year, including the acquisition of Arbeco, the ecology, tree and habitat consultancy. He concluded by announcing the official launch of The Southwood Foundation. The Southwood Foundation has been set up to deliver meaningful change in the sustainability agenda, the key themes being nature and decarbonisation. The starting point is an engagement programme across the professional community to bring holistic and innovative thinking to the many challenges we face.
We were also delighted to be joined by Bill McElroy, Head of Industry Strategy, Programme Advisory at Turner and Townsend. Bill shared his thoughts on the property and infrastructure sector in the UK, which was well received with our guests and was a great point of conversation amongst them for the rest of the evening.
Temple and The Ecology Consultancy have received a lot of positive feedback from guests for yet another wonderful evening. Next year we look to celebrating our sister company The Ecology Consultancy’s 20th Anniversary – more details to follow.
