Temple appointed lead supplier on Tower Hamlets EIA Framework

Temple is delighted to announce that we’ve been appointed as lead suppliers on the London Borough of Tower Hamlets EIA Review Framework.

Tower Hamlets continues to be a significant focus for development and regeneration within London and therefore receives a high number of EIA applications each year, more than most other local authorities in the country.

Over the 3 years of the contract, the Temple Team will  provide expert advice and support to the Council throughout all stages of the EIA process, including the review of all Environmental Statements submitted to the Council. Temple will also be providing wider expert technical environmental and planning advice, relevant to non-EIA planning applications, for example in relation microclimate, cultural heritage and noise issues. During this period we look forward to helping the Council to navigate through the forthcoming changes falling out from the new EU EIA Directive, which is to be transposed into UK Regulations by May 2017.

Harriet Peacock, EIA Officer at Tower Hamlets, has said of Temple’s EIA review capability: “I would recommend Temple. Both Giulia and Peter were helpful, professional and approachable. There were some timescales that were very tight, and it is appreciated that this would not have been easy to achieve”.
