Delivering sustainable air transport

As the demand for air transport grows, managing environmental performance is increasingly important.

Temple works with airport operators, airlines and their stakeholders to both monitor and mitigates the impact of aircraft. We have considerable experience in planning inquiries and discharging planning consents for large e.g. Heathrow and smaller airports e.g. London City, Luton, and even heliports. Our team of environmental experts work together to advise across the entire spectrum of environmental disciplines, and we also bring social value and engagement/consultation experts as well as in house planning specialists. It is the nature of this rounded offering and our experience which is a particular advantage in addressing key impacts in a holistic, proactive and inclusive manner.

We employ sophisticated modelling techniques and have significant monitoring capability in both noise and air quality. We also have particular experience of large and small scale public consultation programmes, aural demonstrations/sound booths (to replicate the noise experience), and visualisation tools to represent other impacts, and have provided expert witness testimony at public inquiries. Our in-house Geographic Information Systems (GIS) capability to map affected areas and address impacts in a consultation setting is also an inherent advantage.

Our support covers multiple areas including greenhouse gas emissions and climate change mitigation and adaptation, aircraft noise mitigation and management and wildlife management.
