Zayn Dubois Gafar

Zayn joined Temple in 2022 and is a Consultant within the air quality and climate team. 

 

At Temple, Zayn is working as a core member of Temple’s air quality team currently involved in delivering the Environmental Impact Assessment for the River Thames Flood Alleviation Scheme NSIP.  

He is also collaborating across business units, particularly with the Ecology and EIA delivery teams on multidisciplinary projects. Zayn works on a variety of different assessments within the field of air quality, liaising with stakeholders at every stage of the process to advise on the suitability of developments and strategies to minimise air quality impacts. This ranges from undertaking advanced dispersion modelling of atmospheric pollutants, overseeing long term monitoring projects for construction sites, including the set up and maintenance of equipment, as well as producing the final reports such as ES chapters.  

Prior to joining Temple, Zayn worked as an environmental consultant at Tetra Tech following the completion of his Integrated Master’s in Geology with Planetary Science at the University of Manchester. His master’s research project involved using bacteria to mediate the formation of biogenic minerals with industrial applications.   

Outside the office, Zayn enjoys music production and DJing, as well as a host of outdoor activities including hiking, cycling and skateboarding.
