Associate Director - Ecology

Wendy McFarlane (MA MSc MCIEEM) joined Temple in 2008 through the previously known  ‘The Ecology Consultancy’ as an ecologist. She is now Associate Director at Temple with a background specialising in botany and holds a Level 4 Field Identification Skills Certificate (FISC).

Her particular focus is Phase 1 habitat surveys, botanical surveys, BREEAM Assessments and Ecological Management Plans. She has over 16 years’ experience of surveying and project managing sites with a wide range of ecological opportunities and constraints whilst providing the necessary support to the client through the planning process.

This is supported by her knowledge of urban ecology in London, horticulture, green infrastructure, Biodiversity Net Gain, countryside management, agri-environment schemes and BREEAM/Code for Sustainable Homes. She works closely with clients and their design teams to ensure that spaces are designed and managed for wildlife in a sustainable way.
