Spencer McGawley

Spencer recently joined the Temple property team, having previously work in scientific consulting, engineering consulting, and large multi-disciplinary companies. Client and delivery focused, he brings a variety of experience gained on an array of project types and genres.

Spencer has extensive experience in master-planning, planning, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Appraisal, and project delivery on all types of green/brownfield development, including major residential and urban regeneration projects (Grahame Park Estate, Barnet; Westbury Estate and South Lambeth Estate regenerations, Lambeth), commercial land schemes (Bexhill Enterprise Park North), road schemes (North Bexhill Access Road) and regional housing studies (Partnership for Urban South Hampshire Housing Strategy). This variety of work has left him adept at forming and running highly effective project teams. He has experience of all aspects of the technical assessment of development proposals, and is an experienced document author, auditor, speaker and project/team lead.

He has authored Planning, Design and Access Statements, Environmental Statements (both Town and Country Planning Regs, and Local Development Orders), legal briefs and environmental survey specifications. Spencer also has experience in technological consulting; and has advised clients on smart technology strategy and policy, renewables strategies and market engagement and segmentation, and is happy to talk urbanism, design and the need to re-humanise our urban fabric to function in the next 100 years.

Outside of Temple, he is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach, and loves biomechanics, physiology, and the study of human movement and performance.
