Matthew joined Temple in September 2021 as Principal Air Quality Consultant and has quickly taken on board the role of Project Manager for a variety of contracts. These have included large air quality modelling projects within the London Borough of Ealing, Air Quality Neutral Assessment within the London Borough of Merton, and Air Quality Dust Management Plan within the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
Matthew has also taken the lead on bidding for a number of large Government Tender contracts, including large scale air quality monitoring at schools within Liverpool, Birmingham, and Berkshire.
Prior to joining Temple, Matthew worked as an air quality consultant for five years, specialising in air quality modelling. Before that Matthew worked as an air quality technical officer for a local authority with some of the poorest air quality in England. Matthew also has a PhD from Lancaster University within the Atmospheric Science discipline. His thesis was titled – Modelling the future effects of urban air quality. Matthew is also a full member of the Institute of Air Quality Management.
Outside the office Matthew enjoys going out running with his wife and their energetic English Pointer, as well as walking in the hills and the occasional triathlon.
