We are pleased to share the exciting news that Kris Beuret OBE and her organisation, Social Research Associates (SRA) https:/sraltd.co.uk, have joined our Socio-economics and Social Value team here at Temple.
A social scientist, Kris brings her extensive expertise, knowledge, and experience, as well as access to SRA’s social survey team and extensive network of specialist associates in disability, equality, social research, transport, and community engagement.
SRA’s work in engaging with hard-to-reach communities and social issues, including behavioural change, is a great match with Temple’s own expertise, especially in pressing environmental issues such as carbon, air quality, noise, and biodiversity issues.
Prior to this formal tie-up, Temple and SRA have worked successfully together over many years including on projects for HS2 and the Transport Systems Catapult. We continue to demonstrate the value of our combined skills by winning and delivering an ever growing and diverse portfolio of ground-breaking and innovative projects. For Transport for the North, we’ve carried out research into transport-related social exclusion, and for Transport for Greater Manchester, we’ve addressed the benefits of mobility for older drivers, disabled people, and women in refuges. For Surrey County Council, we’ve used innovative approaches, including interactive market stalls and neighbourhood games, to engage Surrey residents in a more representative response to their local transport plan consultation. We have also developed an engagement toolkit to enable cost effective public participation.
Kris says “I have long cherished the idea of joining Temple since our work together going back to 2009. Once the environmental director at the Highways Agency (as it then was) said ‘All consultancies put in good bids, but SRA sprinkles that extra bit of stardust on top.’ I look forward to our working together to carry on this tradition.”
