Temple is pleased to announce that we have secured its position in helping to deliver sustainable transport benefits across Greater Manchester. Together with partners SRA, Traverse and Social Profit Calculator we have been awarded places covering Qualitative Research and Consultation Activity on Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM’s) new £88m Transport Professional Services Framework which will run until 2025. With projects anticipated to support Greater Manchester’s Right Mix Vision for 50% of all journeys to be made by walking, cycling and public transport by 2040 and its ambition to be net zero by 2038, we see this as a significant opportunity to help develop a more sustainable transport system for the region.
TfGM anticipates a substantial programme of work over the next few years but the five-year framework will also be used by others including: e.g. the Combined Authority, affiliated organisations such as Rail North, Transport for the North (TfN), the ten members of the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities, Passenger Transport Executive Group (PTEG) and over 30 other local and transport authorities across the north and midlands.
Temple and its partners are market leaders in the field of transport assessment and consultation activities as demonstrated through our commissions on decarbonisation and transport-related social exclusion for TfN.
