Temple is very pleased to announce they have been appointed by Transport for London (TfL), to provide environmental, sustainability and carbon consultancy services to the Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf ferry crossing project.

The new project aims to provide an improved link across the Thames between Rotherhithe and Canary Wharf and help encourage people to walk and cycle linking to proposed cycle routes between both Southwark and Tower Hamlets and beyond.

Temple is working as part of a multi-disciplinary design team led by Steer, alongside Beckett RankineHoulder LimitedNASH Maritime Ltd and Quod to provide a sustainable, clean, fast ferry service with new specifically designed boats and piers which aim to be as environmentally friendly as practicable. They will be designed to be fully accessible for people with reduced mobility as well as provide adequate space for standard and adapted cycles and cargo-bikes.
