Jenny Stafford judges the SECBE Awards 2019 shortlist
Temple are sponsors of the sustainability category of the prestigious Constructing Excellence in London and the South East (SECBE) 2019 Awards, and we’re pleased that Temple Group Associate Director, Jenny Stafford, was on a judging panel again this year. It’s always an honour to be on a panel and, during judging day on 4th April, she had the pleasure of interviewing the shortlisted finalists and selecting the final winners.
Jenny said “This year there was a 35% uplift in entries which made for a particularly busy judging day. The panel I was part of judged three categories with some inspiring entries in the Apprenticeships and Outstanding Customer Satisfaction categories as well as Sustainability”. This year’s sustainability finalists were:
- Camden Mews – bere:architects
- Carden Avenue, Brighton – Syntegra Consulting
- Environmental performance – GRAHAM
- Infrastructure and Aviation Business Unit – Mace
- Lark Rise – bere:architects
- New Rides Farm, Renewable Energy and Habitat Creation Scheme – Energiekontor UK
The Awards are unparalleled in their recognition of outstanding companies and projects, that undertake construction of the built environment, and deliver improved all-round performance, through collaborative working, innovation and a real desire to make a difference.
The Constructing Excellence Awards are held across England and Wales and the SECBE winners will go through to the National awards in November.
We’re looking forward to the SECBE Awards Dinner and Gala, on Thursday 27th June, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, in London, and to celebrating with all winners and finalists.
