Work is complete on a new community diagnostic centre (CDC) in Ealing, North-West London.
The £30m project, co-located on the Ealing Hospital site, allows thousands of patients to quickly receive diagnostic tests including CT, MRI and ultrasound scans.
The centres are part of a national network funded by the Government to address the patient backlog that built up during the pandemic.
Working alongside architects Murphy Phillips, Temple provided acoustic input; advising on issues such as sound insulation between spaces, control of reverberation, and attenuation of noise from external building services plant.
CDCs are part of a national network funded by the Government to address the backlog of patients that built up during the pandemic. Ealing CDC focuses on four priority pathways, checking on symptoms including asthma, breathlessness, and back and chest pain.
The new facility occupies a previously underutilised space covering 2000 sqm.
