Stanford-le-Hope Railway station wins planning permission

Temple’s Development Planning team has gained planning permission for the redevelopment of Stanford-le-Hope Railway station on behalf of our Client, Thurrock Council.

Temple worked closely with other consultants, bringing to bear its own expertise in planning, acoustics, ecology, air quality and sustainability, Architects BPR and contractor Morgan Sindall to help deliver the multimodal transport interchange and address the concerns of local residents.

The capacity and facilities at the station will be vastly improved to serve Stanford-le-Hope’s growing commuter population to and from London on the c2c operated connection. It will also serve increased employment in the area from DP World London Container Port.

The Council voted unanimously for the scheme and we are delighted to be able to add the decision to our existing and growing portfolio of new rail stations.
