Amanda Pownall - Associate

Amanda has over fifteen years' experience in the railway industry.  She has been involved in a wide range of railway projects including the West Coast Main Line Route Modernisation, East Coast Mainline Route Modernisation, South Central Railway Station Regeneration, Crossrail, Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Jubilee Line Extension, East London Line and the Docklands Light Railway.

The roles and responsibilities Amanda has held vary from head of consultation on WCRM to planning manager for the South Central SPV.  She has extensive knowledge of railway planning including the importance of the original authorising acts, use of permitted development rights and the importance of historic and heritage issues at many stations.

She has also been an integral part of the optioneering process on major schemes such as the WCRM and, through this and similar work on East Coast Mainline and South Central, understands the importance of planning at the early stages of a project.

Amanda has also undertaken large scale consultation and community liaison exercises for projects such as the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.  This railway experience is supported by a solid background in basic planning skills and wider experience on development projects both in the UK and overseas.
