John Newton - Associate

John is an ecologist and environmental consultant.  Having worked for various nature conservation organisations his continued experience within the field made him Deputy Conservation Director (Conservation) on behalf of the London Wildlife Trust.  Then, on moving to a property group as Environment Manager, he coordinated the company’s environmental working group, provided advice on environmental policy and implementation, and prepared an ecology strategy for the proposed redevelopment of King's Cross.

John has more recently been conducting ecological assessments of proposed development sites, as well as working on environmental strategy and policy formation studies, environmental management training consultancy and handbook development for major industry associations.

John's areas of expertise:

• Ecological clerk of works/supervisory ecologist on major construction projects;
• Ecological survey/environmental impact assessment/strategic planning;
• Nature conservation strategy formulation/open space management/training.
