Juli Dosad - Associate
Juli has 13 years experience in housing management which includes homelessness, estate management, participation and resident involvement. She has been working with Gravesham Borough Council to undertake a critical analysis of the consultative structures and community development strategies. She developed cohesive mechanisms for participation, consultation and involvement, resulting in an ambitious action plan for the same.
She carried out further development of alternative consultation mechanisms including “People Bank” (citizen’s panel). She was also involved in the stock options' process, status survey, housing service plan, service level agreements, service improvement advisory groups, compacts and assisting with tenant empowerment learning programmes, setting up a tenants' resource centre, sheltered housing and leasehold forums and involvement in project planning for localised estate redevelopment.
More recently she has taken a lead role in securing Gravesham Borough Council with Beacon Status on promoting racial equality and has been involved in implementing action plans to assist them in achieving level 2 of the equality standard.
Whilst this work dovetails the extensive experience Juli has in service provision and delivery within a range of housing disciplines she has also, amongst other successes, taken a lead role in a successful judicial review on “intentionality” and spent a year working with young people within the Children's Fund.
Juli has direct staff management responsibilities and is fully conversant with all staff issues and related requirements including equal opportunities.
