Services Provided
Temple was commissioned in 2006 by Thames Gateway London Partnership (TGLP). TGLP is a public sector partnership organization represented by all 12 local authorities in the Thames Gateway London area, by five universities and higher education institutes, the Learning and Skills Council and NHS London.
This commission was to provide programme management support and expertise in the delivery of TGLP’s externally funded programmes, particularly London Development Agency and Department of Community and Local Government programmes. This function includes financial management, verification of audit trails with the Accountable Body, LB Barking and Dagenham, grant management and relationship building with TGLP’s partners. A substantial part of the role has been supporting their communication function, providing regeneration expertise and translating messages for delivery by their Communications Team.
Key outputs have included:
-
An updated Corporate Brochure 2006
-
Strengthened relationship with the organizers of the Thames Gateway Forum
-
Establishing a brief for TGLP’s presence at the Thames Gateway Forum and managing its execution with TGLP’s contractors
-
Development of coherent message around a ‘Sustainable Future for the Thames Gateway’
-
Management of relationship with Chair of TGLP with specific regards to the Thames Gateway Forum and associated events.
Benefits
TGLP’s distinctive presence at the Thames Gateway Forum was a critical success for them and was highly praised by TGLP Board members and partners. It has provided them with a coherent message and approach for future working with partners. This is a key achievement for them.
In programme management terms, TGLP now has a sound basis for delivery that complies with the Funder’s requirements and that of the Accountable Body.
