Clients regularly need relatively short-term assistance with the time-consuming task of finding the right consultants and contractors for their major brownfield remediation projects. Whilst part of the burden of letting contracts is administrative, many of the tasks benefit from familiarity with the procurement cycle and lessons learnt from similar exercises.
Temple can economically deliver a ‘concept-to-appointment’ package or simply provide strategic support at key phases of the procurement cycle. Before recommending suppliers we will develop and articulate your requirements into an expression of interest (EOI) or invitation to tender (ITT), as appropriate, and a set of selection criteria. In addition to providing a formal audit trail for the procurement exercise, we will provide a selection report to demonstrate you have followed best practice and selected the most advantageous tender.

Temple personnel have provided support and procurement advice on contracts ranging from £5,000 to over £10m.
We have a proven track record in contract preparation and procurement. In many instances we have worked alongside clients, but remained an independent part of the client team, and have developed the required procurement and contract documentation. We have an intimate understanding of OJEU procurement rules and procedures and have developed systems that allow:

The scope of our contract support services is flexible and tasks can be shared with the clients’ in-house team. Some clients only require specialist input during the assessment of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires. Others elect to take the full contract support service which includes the preparation of notices, contracts and specifications, tender packs, etc.

Charging Structure
Temple offers contract support services on a time and expense basis and will provide an estimate once we have considered the scope and extent of the proposed work.
Our team will be selected to match your requirements. Costs usually range from £300 to £800 per day. Our fees are marginally higher than the equivalent in-house costs, however we invariably deliver savings and benefits (see Client Benefits, above) that more than outweigh this additional expense.
