Temple personnel carried out a number of environmental studies including transit system assessment as part of the overall environmental assessment of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link scheme. The study considered the operational characteristics of the system, the system benefits and the effects of specific mitigation regimes.
Benefits
Overall benefit to the client was the building up of a comprehensive understanding of alternative transit schemes particularly during their above ground operational phase. The information alongside the development of appropriate environmental design criteria and mitigation options ensure that there was a uniformity of approach for the CTRL project.
