Services Provided
Securing relevant consents/licenses / Environmental Management Plans / Environmental Audit / Site Environmental Management.
Temple personnel provided support to contractors in meeting the environmental contract requirements and seeking the necessary consents/licenses and agreements from Local Authorities, Statutory Agencies and others as relevant. Temple were responsible for site environmental management on CTRL 440 and 330 and assisted the Site Environment Manager (SEM) on other CTRL contracts.
We obtained relevant water discharge licences and agreements with the Environment Agency and relevant licences from English Nature re. Badgers and bats. We were also, regularly involved in discussions with RLE and the relevant Local Authorities in securing S61 consents as well as in the preparation and implementation of noise and vibration monitoring and management regimes.
We were responsible for the preparation of environmental management plans (both General and Specialist Plans) and implementation of the same. We carried out a series of internal audits to ensure the correct procedures and systems were being adhered to on-site, and also participated in a number of external environmental audits undertaken by Union Railways. Benefits
Temple were able to provide specialist skills to the various clients based on an in-depth understanding and work previously undertaken on the project during the design and Bill stages. This ensured that we were able to respond to the clients requests in a cost efficient way underpinned with a comprehensive understanding of the scheme and the environmental requirements. We achieved an environmental award for our work on CTRL 440 at the Quality in Construction Awards ceremony.
