Between January 1999 and January 2001, specialists from Equilibria Group coordinated a significant research project into the potential links between sustainability and business performance on behalf of WWF and Cable & Wireless plc.
Using standard business tools and an accessible, step by step format, the publication was designed to:
Raise awareness of key drivers for change In business sustainability and responsibility;
Provide a means of helping to change common perceptions of sustainability issues as a strategic business concern;
Identify a possible ‘route map’ for companies to follow when developing their own internal business cases for improved performance;
Encourage companies and the equity market to apply common terminology and evaluation techniques to their understanding of sustainability and responsibility issues.
