Services provided
Temple provided an assessment of the effects on noise and vibration of a proposed distributor road, for inclusion in an Environmental Statement. The road forms a major part of the prestigious and unique Poundbury development on the edge of Dorchester, inspired by the Prince of Wales. The contract was to provide an assessment of noise impacts due to the use of the new road.
Temple carried out baseline noise measurements and future predictions of noise levels along the route of the proposed road in order to determine its future noise impact, as well as noise impacts during the construction phase. Temple determined the significance of the noise impacts of the new road on existing residents in the area.
Temple also assessed the changes in noise levels at existing residential properties to determine if any properties would be eligible to claim for compensation under the Land Compensation Act and Noise Insulation Regulations.
Benefits
Temple presented a professional and detailed service to the client in the area of transportation noise impact assessment and Noise Insulation Regulation eligibility.
